Home Health Aide HHA

This program includes instructor-led classroom and hands-on application or practice in a skills lab. Students must successfully complete daily quizzes, weekly tests, and a final exam in order to graduate from this program. A 4-hour HIV/AIDS & CPR course are offered in HHA 28 and HHA 29 respectively during this program. Upon completion of these courses students will receive the respective certificates verifying these requirements have been met.

The Practical Nursing program trains student in acquiring skills comparable to the demands of the health care industry. The training will assist the Practical Nursing student in the area of critical thinking to enhance their effectiveness as members of the health care team. It will allow for facilitation of necessary knowledge and skills to gain entry-level employment; provide basic knowledge that serves as a foundation for higher levels of learning in the health care profession: adequately prepare graduates for passing of State Board examination.

The Professional Nursing program trains student in acquiring skills comparable to the demands of the health care industry. The professional nursing program consists of 99 semester credit hours and is designated to teach students who have a practical nursing diploma the role of the professional nurse in the healthcare industry.The content includes, but is not limited to, theoretical instruction and clinical experience.
